About Us

Simon Carlson’s passion for woodworking started during summer camp. He played a game called carpetball daily there, and wanted to bring the enjoyable game to his home. He looked for plans online, and soon found a good one. After that, he started to get materials, and recruited help from his dad (who is a farmer, and knows his way around rough woodworking). He built the table, and it got a blue ribbon at the county fair.

After building the carpetball table, Simon started watching many hours of YouTube content on woodworking. He learned about many different machines, their functions, and different processes for building things. He soon built a lumber storage cart, furniture for his home, then some custom pieces for family and friends. Passion for the craft continued to grow in him, and that led to more ambitious projects with more complicated joinery and nicer materials.

Simon decided to make this woodworking passion into a business during the peak of the coronavirus outbreak. His school closed, creating the perfect situation for starting a business. He started a Facebook Business account, and started posting pictures of products he had made. From there, he sold many items, started getting custom orders, and kept expanding. He went on to creating vlog videos of shop work, starting a YouTube channel, selling on Etsy, and multiple other areas. Now, he dreams of scaling the business to be a full-time job after high school.
